Answer This...

I decided that I can do an Answer This post this month...it just needs to be a Christmas related topic...silly me.

What are your favorite things about Christmas? Mine are:
-Christmas Music (only religious ones, though. I am very picky about my Christmas music)
-Christmas Movies
-The excitement in the air. In my classroom. At home. At the store. EVERYWHERE
-Cuddling on the couch in my flannel PJ's with the fireplace going. It's practically perfect.
-Wrapping presents
-Christmas parties
-Hot chocolate
-Snow (but only during Christmas...snow in January...sucks to be quite honest).
-The colors and the lights
-Cider
-Last but not least...the focus on the true meaning of Christmas.
That's the very best part.

What are your favorite things about Christmas?

Hi Shar
I am going to answer this
too
MY FAMILY
The Tree
The Boise Expo Show-Ameristar, the Fudge lady, the Jelly booth and you going to the Chiropractor booth and the ATM :)
The Movies
especially The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and A Christmas Story
(which you hate.. much to my dismay :))
The smells
The family
The love
The decorations
The songs-at church, on the radio, in the stores(with the exception of some of those nail on chalkboard messes that some of them play)and in my house when I get a turn to use the stereo..
The messages about Jesus
My Dad's voice reading the Christmas story
My niece and nephew's face's when they are talking about Santa Claus and the Tree

The belief.. in goodness of people, of dreams to come true,of making a difference to someone, and of our Savior.

And most of all what it means to everyone ever born on this earth
to have this day to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the huge gift he has given every one of us.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS

I Love Christmas!
My Favorite things:
Giving people presents they really like and seeing their faces light up.
Christmas lights
Christmas goodies
Singing Grandma got run over by a reindeer and it being not weird
My new favorite this year: Ian taking ornaments off the tree every 5 min. because they are "ball"s and he loves balls. Then he holds one in each hand and cracks them together, thank goodness we are poor so they are plastic
Uchtdorf's talk in the Ensign this month sums it up perfect. Enjoy your family and the festivities but don't forget the to look for and enjoy the extra sparkle and true meaning of Christmas, our Savior.

Hey Sister! ( I love being able to say that to one more special lady in my life. ;))
My favorite things would be:
Family Time

Christmas Music (like yourself I am picky about it too and generally just like religious ones)

Listening to Handel's Messiah without feeling weird about it

BAKING!

Gingerbread House Decorating Contests (You and Zach will love this new tradition in our family)

Cuddling with my husband and dog in a blanket while watching White Christmas

Snow Globes

A renewed appreciation for the scriptures, especially the prophecies of Christ's birth

Singing in church and it being a non-awkward reason to invite friends to church

Family pictures

Making homemade gifts to show how much my family means to me

The showing of gratitude and charity by so many people

Remembering Christmases past with all their little silly nuances like listening to the vinyl classic "John Denver and the Muppets Christmas"

Praising Christ in more public fashion without non-Christians being offended (generally)
